Alexander Kolpakov: Sukhoi SuperJet 100 will be delivered to Rossiya special aircraft division by year-end

Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft will join the fleet of Rossiya special aircraft division, which is responsible for transporting the senior government officials, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Alexander Kolpakov, Head of the Department of Presidential Affairs.

“We have signed the contract for delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 recently. It is expected that the aircraft will be delivered to us by year-end,” he said.

At that, foreign aircraft will be gradually put out of operation by the special aircraft division, Kolpakov added.

According to him, the fleet renewal program of the Rossiya special aircraft division is being carried out continuously: 3 or 4 new aircraft are delivered to the organization every year. He reminded that the government has already approved fleet renewal program for the next five years (the airliners will be replaced after a certain period of time expires).

As for plans for purchasing new yachts for the Department of Presidential Affairs, Kolpakov said that such vehicles are not included in procurement plans.
