«Five crews passed required retraining course last year. Recently another group of pilots arrived in Yeysk in order to pass the course. The specialists of the naval aviation are also putting Orlan-10 UAVs into service; the military units have not operated this type of UAV before,» the ministry added.

These small vehicles are fitted with cameras and camcoders and designed for carrying out aerial reconnaissance under any weather conditions. In order to improve their skills, the specialists are using the UAVs to perform daily flights above the navy’s firing ranges and monitor the quality of combat training.
