Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines for 8 months of 2014.

During the period from January to August 2014 the Russian airlines transported a total of 63 432 496 passengers (+11.9% as compared to the same period of 2013); the passenger turnover was 163 954 177 thousand passenger-kilometers (+8,4%), the cargo turnover - 3 263 237,28 thousand ton-kilometers (-0,3%).

As for August statistics, the passenger traffic of Russian carriers was 10 970 177 passengers (+11,8%); the carriers transported 93 567,05 of cargo and mail (+12,3%).

In addition, Russian carriers have transported 658 833,83 tons of cargo and mail during the period from January to August 2014 (+2,2%).
