The crew of Soyuz TMA-12M spacecraft returned to Earth

On September 11th 2014 at 06:23 Moscow time the descent module of manned Soyuz TMA-12M transport spacecraft landed near Dzhezkazgan city (Kazakhstan). The Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) reports that the module landed normally.

The crew of 39/40 long-duration mission formed by commander Alexander Skvortsov (Roskosmos), Oleg Artemyev (Roscosmos) and Steven Swanson (NASA) returned to Earth.  It was the second flight in Alexander Skvortsov’s career and the first flight for Oleg Artemyev. Commander of ISS-40 Steven Swanson has performed its third flight.

At present the crew of 40/41 long-duration mission continues its work on the ISS. The crew comprises commander Maxim Suraev (Roscosmos) and onboard engineers Reid Weisman (NASA) and Alexander Gerst (ESA).
