Mikhail Pogosyan: Military projects of UAC do not depend on foreign suppliers, but we must keep the international cooperation in the network of civil programs

Military programs of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) do not depend on foreign suppliers; as for civil programs, UAC needs to keep and develop the international cooperation in the network of civil programs, Interfax – AVN reports with reference to the president of UAC, Mikhail Pogosyan.

"Speaking of military programs – all of our suppliers are Russian companies. The production of a small number of components delivered by suppliers located outside Russia will be launched in our country soon", - Pogosyan told journalists at Engineering Technologies international forum held in Zhukovsky. He added that UAC must keep the international cooperation in the network of civil programs.

"As for civil aviation, I think we must keep and develop the international cooperation, taking into account that many Russian companies are suppliers for western airframers", - Pogosyan said.

He also noted that Russian airframers are certifying their products and promoting them at the global market.
"We must use a balanced approach. Our goal is to increase the share of Russian-produced components in our civil aircraft", - Pogosyan said.

He added that civil aviation segment requires integration and a balanced approach. According to Pogosyan, the share of foreign-produced components delivered to UAC enterprises in the network of MS-21 project is lower as compared to Superjet project.

"We must develop aircraft able to compete at the global market", - Pogosyan said.
