Over the next few years United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will develop a new reconnaissance UAV with a takeoff weight of 20 tons, Director of Military Aviation Programs Directorate of UAC, Vladimir Mikhailov, told ITAR-TASS.

«At present we are developing a number of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, however, I cannot unveil any details now. The first stage of development of the reconnaissance UAV with a takeoff weight of 20 tons should be completed in 2015. We will also develop a combat UAV derived from this vehicle», - Mikhailov said.

We remind you that Sukhoi Holding Company secured a state contract for development of an attack UAV in 2012. In October 2012 the company signed a cooperation agreement with RAC MiG related to development of the UAVs. According to the president of UAC, Mikhail Pogosyan, technologies used for development of fifth-generation T-50 (PAK FA) fighter will also be used during development of these vehicles.
