Russian Ministry of Transport dismissed the fact that cargo flights between Russia and EU will be blocked on July 1st 2014, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

"The ministry sent a letter to Matthew Baldwin, Director of Air Transport at the European Commission, offering to hold consultations on the matter. Russian Ministry of Transport believes that regular inspections of Russian airports and airlines carried out by ICAO and IOSA are enough", - the ministry noted.

So it is too early to say that Russian aviation authorities have failed to agree on new flight safety regulations in the area of cargo flights, the experts noted.
