Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines for 4 months of 2014.

The passenger traffic of Russian carriers in April was 6 272 380 passengers (+5,9% as compared to April 2013). During the period from January to April 2014 the Russian airlines have transported a total of 23 648 589 passengers (+9.1% as compared to the same period of 2013).

In April the passenger turnover of the carriers was 16 297 536,73 thousand passenger-kilometers (+0.9%); the cargo turnover - 427 673,57  thousand ton-kilometers (-4,3%). As for the four-month period, the passenger turnover of the carriers was 65 053 732,87 thousand passenger-kilometers (5.7%), the cargo turnover was 1 518 546,71 thousand ton-kilometers (-5.8%).

In addition, Russian carriers have transported 85 940,26 tons of cargo and mail in April 2014 (-1.2%) and 307 172,91 tons of cargo and mail during the period from January to April 2014 (-1.7%).
