The subsidiary of GTLK (also known as the State Transport Leasing Company) - GTLK Europe and SCAT airline (Kazakhstan) signed a financial lease agreement for delivery of Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The aircraft (YOM 2008) will be delivered to the customer by late May, press-service of GTLK reports.
"It is GTLK’s first contract with a foreign carrier. SCAT is one of Kazakhstan’s largest airlines. It operates over 60 aircraft, including 17 airliners manufactured in foreign countries (most of them are owned by the carrier). SCAT’s Boeing 757, Boeing 737 and CRJ-200 aircraft perform about 48 flights per day. The liners operated by SCAT meet all the international safety and comfort standards; the company’s positions are further strengthened by the efforts and expertise of its employees", - the company noted.
At present SCAT’s route network includes over 65 destinations (64% - regional ones, 36% – international ones). SCAT is the experienced provider of services in key areas of civil aviation: from air transportation and MRO to personnel training in its own training center. The airline is carrying out the maintenance of foreign-produced aircraft in accordance with EASA PART-145 standards. The carrier is able to carry out both base and line maintenance of its aircraft. The airline’s passenger traffic exceeded 1 million people per year thanks to the fleet renewal program and expansion of its geography of flights. SCAT opens up to 10 new routes every year, GTLK added.
