State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) delivered the fourth L-410 aircraft to Komiaviatrans. The turboprop was ferried to Syktyvkar from Aircraft Industries enterprise (Czech Republic). The 10-year financial lease agreement was signed by the companies in late February 2014, press-service of STLC reports.
"Unlike L-410s delivered by the STLC in 2013, this airliner is powered by more powerful and fuel-efficient engines. This aircraft will be performing flights to different airports of Komi Republic and other regions. L-410 is the twin-engine turboprop seating 19 passengers (or carrying a payload of 1800 kg). The aircraft’s range is 1520 km", - the press-service added.
Komiaviatrans was established in 1998 on the basis of Komiavia State Enterprise. The carrier’s fleet comprises 32 Mi-8 helicopters, 33 Mi-2 helicopters and four L-410 airliners. The company offers services in the following areas: transportation of passengers and cargo, patrol of petroleum and gas pipelines, power transmission line inspection, servicing the offshore oil platforms, transportation of people in hard-to-reach regions, medevac operations. The following airports are part of Komiaviatrans: Syktyvkar international airport, airports of Vorkuta, Ukhta, Usinsk, Pechora, Ust-Tsilma and Inta, the company noted.
