Dobrolet, a low-cost carrier being established by Aeroflot, will take delivery of 189-seat Boeing 737 aircraft instead of 170-seat ones, Prime reports with reference to a source close to the airline.
Such decision was taken after the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the extension of duty-free import of commercial aircraft until January 1st 2017.
"The duty-free import of 189-seat aircraft allows Dobrolet to sell more tickets at lower fares. It is one of the carrier’s top priorities", - the company’s representative noted.
Dobrolet plans to take delivery of 8 aircraft. The changes made in the cabin layout are in compliance with the lease agreement.
