Irkut Corporation (part of United Aircraft Corporation) fulfilled the State Defense Order for 2014 on schedule. Russian Ministry of Defense took delivery of over 40 multi-role Su-30SM fighters and Yak-130 operational trainers, the corporation’s press-service reports.

“In 2014 in parallel with increase of deliveries of Su-30SM jets to Russian air forces the deliveries of these fighters to Russian navy were started. The geography of deliveries of Yak-130 operational trainers was expanded. Besides Borisoglebsk training air base, in 2014 Yak-130 jets were delivered to Armavir airbase (part of Voronezh training center of the Air Force Academy named after N.E. Zhukovsky and Y.A. Gagarin),” Irkut Corporation noted.

President of Irkut Corporation, Oleg Demchenko, said that the corporation set a record in 2014 in terms of deliveries of military aircraft in a post-Soviet era. Nevertheless, plans for 2015 include increase of deliveries of military aircraft. «Professionalism of our employees and upgraded production capacities allow us to increase output of military aircraft in parallel with production of the first MS-21 passenger aircraft,» Oleg Demchenko said.
