Two new Su-35S fighters were put into service in one of the air force military units of the Eastern Military District, Interfax-AVN reports with reference to press-service of the military district.
“A total of 20 aircraft of the type were delivered to the units of the Eastern Military District. Besides Su-35S, 15 Su-30SMI and Su-30M2 jets were delivered to the military units,” said in the statement. It is noted that delivery of these two jets marked the completion of the military unit’s rearmament.
Su-35 was developed by Sukhoi design bureau (part of United Aircraft Corporation). It is a “4++”-generation super-maneuverable multi-role fighter. The fifth-generation technologies have been used during development of the fighter granting its superiority over other fighters of this class.
Su-35 is fitted with state-of-the-art avionics suite based on digital information-control system, new radar with phased antenna array with increased acquisition range and increased number of simultaneously tracked and attacked targets, new engines with increased thrust and thrust vector control.
