Russian Customization Center may be established in Ulyanovsk Region

A Russian Customization Center may be established in Ulyanovsk Region. The governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov discussed the matter with the management of Spektr-Avia, press-service of governor and government of Ulyanovsk Region reports.

«Establishment of such Center responsible for modifications of exterior and interior of aircraft will ensure implmentation of United Aircraft Corporation’s (UAC) projects, including Sukhoi SuperJet 100, MS-21 and Il-76MD-90A. The center will also carry out painting of aircraft owned by Russian and foreign carriers. In order to implement the project the parties need to start personnel training by means of creating a department at Institute of Aviation Technologies and Management or Ulyanovsk State University,» Sergey Morozov said.

Moreover, the governor has taken a look at the preparation for painting of the upgraded An-124 Ruslan and two Sukhoi SuperJet 100 liners.

According to the Director of Spektr-Avia, Sergey Kartashov, the enterprise has been working at the market for more than 15 years. «33 liners were painted this year. 10 more ones will be painted by the year-end. In 2015 we are going to paint 50 aircraft and increase the company’s financial indicators by 20%,» Sergey Kartashov noted.

We remind you that Spektr-Avia specializes in painting the aircraft owned by Russian carriers and manufactured by enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The company is able to carry out painting works of any complexity. The painting of one medium-haul aircraft takes from 7 to 10 days. The company’s staff includes 158 employees.
