Transaero Airlines won the “Choice of the year No. 1 in Kazakhstan” competition for the second straight year. The winners of this competition are defined on the basis of the results of the voting among people of Kazakhstan. They selected Transaero as the leader in the “Foreign airline No. 1 in Kazakhstan in 2014” category, the company’s press-service reports.
Transaero CEO, Olga Pleshakova, said: “I am sincerely grateful to all citizens of Kazakhstan who voted for our company. It is especially nice that people of Kazakhstan have rated our work highly for the second straight year. Transaero’s mission is to strengthen the traditional friendship and good relations between Russia and Kazakhstan. We will do our best to continue development of reliable, comfortable, and affordable air services between our two countries”.
Transaero started operating flights to Kazakhstan in 1993. Today it is the largest foreign airline in terms of passenger traffic in this country. Transaero offers flights to eight cities of Kazakhstan: Astana, Almaty, Aktau, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Kostanay and Shymket.
Transaero is proud of being the first foreign airline to start operating flights between Moscow and Astana (then Akmola) in response to a personal request made by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 1995.
Transaero implements the cutting-edge service technologies on flights to Kazakhstan first. The airline’s schedule allows passengers from Kazakhstan to travel across a vast route network of Transaero using convenient connections in Moscow airports.
Transaero’s constant efforts aimed at improving its product in the Kazakh market showed some positive results. The airline’s passenger traffic between Russia and Kazakhstan for 10 months of 2014 increased by 11% year-on-year.
