The Aviation Service Center of Aviation Equipment Holding Company and Irkut Corporation signed a memorandum for provision of materiel support for MS-21 passenger aircraft, press-service of Rostec State Corporation reports.

The document includes deliveries of consumables and components for the liner, repair and maintenance of the aircraft, creation of sites intended for testing the jets, materiel support and customs clearance. In future the cooperation between the parties will help establish branches of the Aviation Service Center (ASC) at all the airports of Russia and CIS Region, which will be servicing MS-21 aircraft.

«Under the memorandum of understanding for materiel support of MS-21 aircraft we plan to define the possible forms of cooperation, areas of responsibility and coordination procedure in order to satisfy the requirements of MS-21 customers. Following the results of this work we will make a decision on signing more contracts, – CEO of the company, Maxim Kuzyuk said. – Under the contracts our ASC will become the supplier of required components and provider of MRO services, including replacement of units and components».

In March 2013 the ASC of the company opened new storage facilities fitted with the latest equipment for storing components, consumables and chemical products. The facilities meet all the international standards and located at Sheremetyevo airport, the press-service explained.

“One of the major advantages of the ASC is customs inspection area equipped in accordance with special requirements of Russian customs legislation. It allows carrying out fast delivery of aviation equipment and components for Russian and foreign aircraft. Around 4000 components are always available at the storage facilities as well as consumables and chemical products for Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and ATR aircraft,” Rostec noted.
