Aviastar-SP has successfully completed upgrade of heavy transport aircraft An-124-100 Ruslan under the State Defense Order. Another Ruslan departed to Sesha, press-service of Aviastar-SP reports.
“Over the last three years Aviastar upgraded six An-124-100 aircraft under the State Defense Order: one – in 2012, three – in 2013 and two – in 2014. The program for modernization of state aviation included modifications made in accordance with service bulletin, upgrade of aircraft components aimed at improvement of the aircraft performance, reliability, extension of the jet’s service life,” the enterprise’s press-service noted.
The day before, another upgraded Ruslan owned by Volga-Dnepr was transferred from final assembly line of the Ulyanovsk-based enterprise to Spektr-Avia painting workshop.
“The jet’s cockpits were reinforced and modifications were made in accordance with service bulletin. Upon completion of painting works and ground and flight testing the jet will be handed over to the customer,” head of 735th military representative office – head of a third-party inspection of AR IAC, Alexey Minkin, said.
