Russia signed a contract with Thailand for delivery of two more multi-role Mi-17V-5 helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopters, Business Online reports.
These two helicopters will join three Mi-17V-5s already operated by the country in 2016. The contract for delivery of the first three vehicles was signed in 2008 and implemented in 2011; the helicopters are operated by the Royal Thai Air Force at an air base located near Bangkok.
The government of Thailand allocated $40 million for purchase of two additional Mi-17V-5 helicopters in October 2013. The experts believe that the contract was signed in mid-2014.
