Mikhail Pogosyan: China confirmed that it is ready to certify Sukhoi SuperJet 100

China confirmed that it is ready to certify Russian-produced Sukhoi SuperJet 100 liner, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to president of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Mikhail Pogosyan.

“In late October Civil Aviation Administration of China confirmed that it is ready to validate the type certificate of SuperJet 100 in PRC,” Pogosyan said at Airshow China-2014.

The validation process may take up to one year. In November specialists of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC, part of UAC) will submit the application to the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Chinese representatives assured Russian party that the validation might be completed sooner in case a SuperJet customer will emerge in China, president of UAC added.

He said that the corporation sees no problems related to this project because it has a vast experience in such work, in particular, similar projects have been successfully completed in Indonesia and Mexico. “Certification of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 in China will be completed prior to start of deliveries of this jet to PRC,” Pogosyan noted.
