UTair Aviation took delivery of another two Boeing 737-800NG aircraft

UTair Aviation took delivery of another two Boeing 737-800NG aircraft under the contract for delivery of 40 liners of the type signed in 2011. The aircraft were delivered to the customer from the Boeing’s assembly line located in Seattle (USA), the carrier’s press-service reports.

«Despite difficult situation in the industry, UTair continues implementation of its fleet renewal program. The program is aimed at increasing the economic efficiency of our company’s activities, making air transportation more affordable, keeping the passenger traffic at the same level and allowing the industry to overcome the negative impact of external economic factors», – CEO of UTair, Andrey Martirosov, said.

New Boeing 737-800 Next-Generation jets delivered to UTair are powered by CFM56-5B engines and feature Sky Interior cabin seating170 passengers. The jets are equipped with Pinnacle seats. The weight of this seat is 15% lower compared to analogues thanks to usage of composites. This fact allows increasing the legroom as well as decreasing the aircraft’s total weight and operating costs.
