Russian Minister of Industry and Trade visited Indonesia and met with the Chairman of the House of Regional Representative of Republic of Indonesia, Irman Gusman, press-service of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade reports.

Denis Manturov thanked Irman Gusman for taking part in development of cooperation between the countries. «Such a great number of delegations visited the president’s inauguration; this fact confirms the high level of multilateral relations between Indonesia and countries of Southeast Asia» - the Minister noted.

During a meeting with representatives of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in Jakarta Denis Manturov said that Russia is ready to develop cooperation with its Indonesian partners. In particular, the parties discussed the possibility of purchasing Be-200 amphibian aircraft, which has proven its worth during fire-fighting operations. Indonesia may also launch production of MS-21 components in its territory, the ministry noted.

According to Manturov, Russian companies are ready to take part in Indonesian shelf development and they are ready to deliver civil and military marine facilities and equipment. Minister of Industry and Trade reminded of upcoming meeting between the two presidents. The presidents will discuss matters related to development of cooperation focused on increasing the trade turnover between the countries from $3 to $5 billion. «We have a lot to do to reach the new level in terms of trade and economic relations as well as development of new projects», – Denis Manturov added.

According to the Minister, one of key participants of the process is Russian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation; Denis Manturov was appointed so-Chairman of the Commission. «We hope that Indonesian vis-à-vis will be appointed soon and we will be able to start preparation for the meeting of our commission (to be held in Russia in the first quarter of 2015)», – Denis Manturov added.
