S7 Airlines switches to winter schedule

S7 Airlines, member of oneworld global alliance, switches to winter flight schedule on October 26th 2014; the schedule will remain in force until March 28th 2015, the carrier’s press-service reports.

“In the network of the winter flight schedule the airline will perform flights to 85 cities in 25 countries of the world. In addition to traditional routes S7 Airlines passengers will see new ones. On November 10th S7 Airlines launches new daily flight on route Moscow - Voronezh. For the first time passengers from Voronezh will be able to take a flight onboard state-of-the-art comfortable Airbus A319 liner. A new international flight on route Vladivostok – Seoul will also be included in the S7 Airlines winter schedule. Flights will be performed during the New Year holidays since December 24th”, - the company noted.

Moreover, for the first time ever flights from Moscow to Helsinki (Finland), Paphos and Larnaca (Cyprus) will be included in the S7 Airlines winter schedule. For those who prefer winter outdoor activities the airline will resume flights to European ski resorts - Innsbruck (Austria), Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and Chambéry (France). In addition, during the New Year holidays the carrier will increase the frequency of flights from Moscow to Munich and Verona – the nearest airport to the Dolomites.

“Traditionally passengers of S7 Airlines will be able to transport their ski equipment for free. Besides baggage, S7 allows a passenger to carry one pair of skis with ski poles, or a snowboard, and boots, helmet, glasses, special clothing in a cover with the total weight not exceeding 23 kg. S7 Airlines passengers from Novosibirsk will be able to take direct flights to Dubai (UAE), and to warm resorts of Thailand - Bangkok and Phuket Island. Direct flights to the capital of Thailand are also performed from Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk”, - S7 reminded.

Flights from the cities of Siberia and the Far East to other popular Asian destinations - Hong Kong, Beijing, Ürümqi (China) and Tokyo (Japan) will be kept in the winter schedule. The number of domestic flights will increase in the winter schedule. The frequency of daily flights to Ufa will reach four ones, to Kazan – five ones. In addition, for the first time ever two daily flights from Moscow to Simferopol and Anapa will be included in the winter schedule.

In the network of winter schedule state-of-the-art comfortable Airbus and Boeing aircraft will be operated on the abovementioned routes. Today S7 Airlines operates one of the youngest and most advanced aircraft fleets in Russia. In autumn the airline took delivery of two new Boeing 737-800NG aircraft directly from the manufacturer’s site. In the near-term the carrier will take delivery of one more jet of the type, which will be operated in the network of the winter schedule, S7 added.
