President of Irkut Corporation Oleg Demchenko celebrated his 70th birthday

On October 13th 2014 President of Irkut Corporation, Senior Vice-president of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Oleg Demchenko, turned 70. Chairman of the Russian government, Dmitry Medvedev, congratulated Oleg Fedorovich with his anniversary and signed a decree on awarding Demchenko with the Medal of Stolipin (Category I).

«To award the president of Irkut Corporation, Demchenko Oleg Fedorovich with the Medal of Stolipin (Category I) for his contribution to implementation of projects of the Russian government in the area of aircraft industry and long-standing labor», - said in the decree. Moreover, in the letter of congratulations, Medvedev stressed executive talent, professionalism and expertise of Oleg Fedorovich, which helped save the scientific and creative potential of Yakovlev design bureau.

«Dear Oleg Fedorovich! I would like to congratulate you with your 70th birthday. You devoted your life to aircraft industry and came through with flying colors. Your executive talent, professionalism and expertise were demonstrated during your work in Yakovlev design bureau, which has managed to save its creative and scientific potential thanks to you. A number of Yak aircraft were developed under your guidance. Being a top-manager of Irkut Corporation and UAC you are doing your best to deliver state-of-the-art aircraft to our air forces and strengthen defense capabilities of our country. Thanks to you the cadets are operating the latest operational trainers, including Yak-130 jets. Su-30 multi-role fighters are delivered not only to Russian air forces but also to foreign customers. I am confident that you will do your best to make MS-21 project a success. I wish you good health, implementation of your plans and all the best», - said in the letter signed by Dmitry Medvedev.
