Irkut Corporation is implementing large contracts for delivery of multi-role Su-30SM fighters and Yak-130 operational trainers to Russian Ministry of Defense, Interfax-AVN reports with reference to Oleg Demchenko, president of the corporation.
"We will set a new record in 2015 – 30 Su-30SM jets and 30 Yak-130s. In 2014 we will deliver a total of 52 aircraft (specified in the State Defense Order). This is a very important milestone", - O.Demchenko said (he turned 70 on October 13th 2014) during his interview at Rossiya-24 TV channel.
Demchenko said that today the ratio of products manufactured under the State Defense Order to the products exported to other countries is about 80 to 20. "Earlier we focused on exports since we had no State Defense Order. Until 2008 the ratio of exports to State Defense Order was 90 to 10. Today we are glad to say that 80% of our products are manufactured in the network of the State Defense Order", - Demchenko said.
He noted that at present Irkut Corporation comprises Yakovlev engineering center, Irkutsk Aviation Plant, branches in Voronezh and Ulyanovsk. "I am looking to the future with confidence", - he said. He also added that the annual increase of the corporation’s revenues is 15-20%. "Last year our revenues amounted to 65 billion rubles", - O.Demchenko said.
According to him, the output per worker in the corporation is about 4 million rubles; it is one of the best results in Russian aircraft industry.
