On October 10th 2014 Almaz-Antey Concern delivered S-400 Triumph air defense missile system to Russian Ministry of Defense ahead of schedule. The solemn handover ceremony was held in the network of the Day of acceptance of defense products at Kapustin Yar firing range (Astrakhan Region), the concern’s press-service reports.
"The concern is taking part in the Day of acceptance of defense products for the first time ever. The S-400 system will be delivered to the customer in a new format: the first systems were delivered to the armed forces by different manufacturers in a form of separate components; the system was assembled right at the territory of military units. Now the system is delivered in the assembled condition. In the course of the system’s operation by the Russian armed forces some components of S-400 Triumph have been upgraded. Thus, the system delivered to the Ministry of Defense on October 10th 2014 differs from the first systems manufactured in 2007", - the press-service noted.
S-400 Triumph air defense system manufactured by Almaz-Antey Concern is designed to protect the most important economic and military assets from air strikes, strategic, cruising, tactical and theater ballistic missiles, as well as medium-range ballistic missiles under conditions of jamming and counterfire.
