The specialists of Moscow Aviation Institute will manufacture an aerostat intended for Russian secret services

The specialists of Moscow Aviation Institute will manufacture a radio-controlled unmanned aerostat intended for Russian secret services, Rossiyskaya gazeta reports with reference to a designer, Vadim Demin.

The contract for development of the “Gelios-D” aerostat was signed recently. The volume of aerostat envelope will be 50 cubic meters; its payload will be about 10 – 15 kg. The aerostat's endurance will be 6 hours.

The aerostat will be delivered to the customer in mid-2014.
