Rockwell Collins and Institute of Aircraft Equipment (NIIAO) signed a letter of intent in order to establish cooperation in the area of optimization of avionics for Volga-Dnepr’s fleet of An-124 cargo aircraft, press-service of Rockwell Collins reports.
"NIIAO is carrying out research and development work aimed at definition of standards and integration of aircraft equipment in Russia, including optimization of avionics. Rockwell Collins and NIIAO plan to develop a solution for optimization of An-124’s avionics in order to upgrade the cockpit using state-of-the-art technologies assuring compliance with the future requirements of the global aircraft industry (in particular, compliance with the requirements of Link 2000+ program elaborated by the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation)", - the company noted.
