S7 Airlines, member of oneworld alliance, took delivery of its first Airbus A321.
"The advanced single-aisle Airbus A321 aircraft was delivered to S7 Airlines by ILFC under a lease agreement. The liner is seating 219 passengers. Airbus A321 will be based in Domodedovo airport (Moscow). It performed its first revenue flights to Anapa and Khudzhand on Spetember 25th 2013", - the carrier’s press-service noted.
Three more Airbus A321 jets will join the fleet of S7 Airlines by the end of 2013. The Airbus A320 Family aircraft (Airbus A319/320/321) form the basis of S7 Airlines’ fleet. The new Airbus A321 is the 38th A320 Family aircraft in the fleet of the airline, S7 explained.
"The Airbus A320 Family aircraft have the most spacious and comfortable cabin in the class. Advanced technologies in the area of aerodynamics, engines and avionics have been implemented during development of these jets", - the company noted.
S7 Airlines has one of the most advanced fleets in Russia. At present the airline’s fleet comprises 55 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319s, 17 Airbus A320s, one Airbus A321, one Airbus A310, 2 long-haul Boeing 767-300s, 4 Boeing 737-400s and 10 Boeing 737-800s.
