Red Wings and Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC) have signed a number of lease agreements for delivery a total of 30 Russian-produced aircraft at MAKS-2013 airshow, Business-TASS reports.
The parties have signed a firm contract for delivery of 10 Tu-204SMs. The jets will be delivered to the carrier in 2014-2015. The deal will be financed by Novikombank.
In addition, Red Wings and IFC have signed a letter of intent for delivery of 10 MS-21s under a lease agreement. The first jet should be delivered to the airline in 2019, the rest ones will be delivered to the carrier in batches over the next three years (3 aircraft per year).
Moreover, a pre-contract agreement for purchase of 10 Q400 turboprops assembled in Russia has been signed. We remind you that an agreement for establishment of a joint venture between Rostech and Bombardier Aerospace was signed earlier at MAKS-2013. The JV will be responsible for launching the production of Q400 aircraft in Ulyanovsk port special economic zone. IFC signed a letter of intent for delivery of 50 Q400s assembled in Russia.
In addition IFC reported that the abovementioned jets will be delivered to Red Wings in cooperation with State Transport Leasing Company (STLC), which will become the owner of the aircraft as well as IFC (on a parity basis). The corresponding agreement between the leasing companies has also been signed at the airshow.
