Aerospace defense units of Eastern Military District will carry out field firing using S-400 Triumf air defense systems for the first time at the special-purpose firing range located in the Republic of Buryatia, press-service of Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) reports.

«The personnel will carry out crew shakeup and practice in detection and acquisition of targets. The field firing will be started in mid-August and will last for a week. The crews of S-400 air defense systems will practice in destroying high-speed evading targets. A total of 30 targets of different types will be used during training», - the MoD said.

The S-400 air defense systems will take part in field firing for the first time in the network of a tactical exercise. About 100 service members and 60 automotive and special-purpose vehicles will take part in the maneuvers, the MoD noted.
