The passenger traffic of Aeroflot exceeded 2 million passengers in July

Aeroflot set the new passenger traffic record in July - the carrier’s passenger traffic was 2,104 million passengers (+17,4% as compared to July 2012), the airline’s press-service reports. 

"Aeroflot’s passenger traffic exceeded two million passengers for the first time in its modern history. The company reached the passenger traffic of over 1 million passengers in April 2011 for the first time and did its best to achieve new milestones in 2012", - the press-service noted. 

Aeroflot is the Russia’s absolute leader in terms of passenger traffic. The company is rapidly developing its operating activities. Aeroflot’s passenger traffic was over 9.5 million passengers in the first half of 2013 (+20.2% as compared to the first half of 2012). 

According to the carrier’s development strategy for the period until 2025, Aeroflot Group plans to reach the passenger traffic of 70 million passengers per year by 2025 (the passenger traffic on domestic airlines should reach 30 million passengers per year). The following goals have been set by Aeroflot: become one of the Europe’s five largest carriers and become one of the world’s top-20 airlines in terms of passenger traffic and revenues, the press-service reminded.
