Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC), Vnesheconombank and Roseksimbank signed an agreement on financing of the deliveries of An-148/158 aircraft to Cuba in 2014-2015. The agreement was signed in the network of MAKS-2013 airshow held in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region.
The agreement assumes financing of the purchase of up to 4 An-148 and An-158 jets by IFC. After that IFC will lease the aircraft to Aviaimport S.A. (Cuba).
This agreement is being implemented in the network of governmental decree number 803 “About the rules for provision of state guarantees in a foreign currency for supporting the export of industrial products (goods and services)” signed on November 1st 2008. The decree was revised and corrected on December 15th 2008, November 15th 2010 and February 18th 2013. According to the decree, the state guarantees are provided, because the vehicles have been manufactured in cooperation with foreign enterprises (the share of Russian-produced components must be 60% or more).
IFC has already delivered the following 9 aircraft manufactured in Russia (including the ones manufactured in cooperation with Ukrainian partners) to Cuba: 4 medium-haul Tu-204s (passenger and cargo versions), 3 long-haul Il-96-300s and 2 regional An-158 jets. In addition, IFC plans to hand over the third An-158 to Cuban customers at MAKS-2013.
