Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC) and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) signed two firm contracts for delivery of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft at MAKS-2013, press-service of SCAC reports.
The first contract assumes delivery of 5 SSJ100 LR aircraft seating 103 passengers. The jet’s capacity will be increased by means of installing slim-seats. The first jet will be delivered to the customer in late 2015, said in the statement.
15 SSJ-100 jets (“Basic” version) will be delivered to IFC in the network of the second contract. The jets will be leased to customers from South-East Asia and Middle East. The deliveries will be started in 2015.
«The fact that the largest financial institutions are taking interest in Sukhoi Superjet 100 project gives evidence of its successful development. Our partners have placed an order for two versions of the jet: Basic and LR (with an extended range) and we hope that the operators will appreciate the capabilities of our aircraft», - Andrey Kalinovsky, president of SCAC, said.
The deliveries will be financed via the governmental program for financial support (guarantees) of export of hi-tech industrial products. These guarantees are provided by the government to banks, which grant credits to buyers of Russian products.
We remind you that IFC and SCAC signed a preliminary agreement on delivery of 20 SSJ-100 aircraft at Paris Air Show held in June 2013.
