The president of Mexican carrier Interjet, Miguel Aleman Magnani, left open the possibility of purchasing additional Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft in future, Prime reports.

"I think that we may increase the number of purchased jets soon, because the 100-seat segment is the largest one at the global market and it provides the best growth opportunities", - Aleman Magnani said.

The carrier has signed a firm contract for delivery of 20 SSJ-100s with an option for another 10 jets of the type. The total value of SSJ-100s purchased by the Mexican carrier is assessed at $800 million. The number of seats was decreased from 108 to 93 ones in these jets in order to increase the seat pitch and improve the passenger comfort.
