Transaero has finalized the results of its financial activities in the first half of 2013 in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards (RAS). The company's results demonstrate its sustainable development and increase of its economic indicators as compared to the first half of 2012 efficiency, the company’s press-service reports.
“The total revenues of Transaero have reached 48,3 billion rubles in the first half of 2013 (+19% as compared to the first half of 2012). The net profit of Transaero reached 261.915 million rubles (+54%). Book value of the company’s assets reached 93 billion rubles (+27.8% as compared to June 2012)”, - said in the carrier’s statement.
The passenger turnover of Transaero increased by 21.5% and reached 21.9 billion revenue passenger-kilometers in the first six months of 2013. The passenger traffic increased by 26.4% to 5.49 million passengers. Transaero’s cargo traffic increased by 5.9% to 29,000 tons.
CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, said: “We are satisfied with the company’s results in the first half of 2013. Our RAS financial statement provides evidence of our soundness and financial stability. The increase of revenues and net profit demonstrate the efficiency of our activities. The passenger load factor reached 83.5%. This is the best result among the Russia’s top-5 carriers. It must be noted that Transaero’s share at the domestic market in terms of passenger traffic increased to 21.5%. Our management will do its best to ensure the sustainable development of Transaero".
