Russian state corporations will finance the participation of a Chinese air forces’ aerobatic team in MAKS-2013 airshow, Kommersant reports.
President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, instructed Russian Technologies State Corporation (Rostech), United Aircraft Corporation and Tactical Missile Corporation to allocate 28 million rubles for hosting Chinese military.
A source close to the presidential administration confirmed that information. According to him, the vice prime minister, Dmitry Rogozin, signed another instruction on July 31st obliging the Ministry of Defense (MoD), Ministry of Industry and Trade and Rostech to complete the president’s assignment by August 15th 2013. "This refers to financing the visit of Chinese military. By the way their aerobatic team will be taking part in an international airshow for the first time. The MoD will only cover costs connected with airfield service and refueling of aircraft at the intermediate airfields located in Russia. These expense items will be covered using funds allocated for combat training",— the source noted.
The Chinese aerobatic team operates multi-role J10 fighters. Two Il-76 jets operated by Chinese air forces should also arrive in Zhukovsky. The Chinese delegation will comprise a total of 95 people (including 15 representatives of China’s MoD, 11 pilots, 44 technicians and crews of Il-76 jets).
