The passenger traffic of Moscow Air Cluster (MAC) airports was 32.1 million passengers during a period from January to June 2013 (+13% (or 3.7 million passengers) as compared to the first half of 2012), press-service of Aeroproject reports.

«Following the results of 2012 the passenger traffic of MAC airports was 64,1 million passengers (+13,5% (or 7,6 million passengers) as compared to 2011). Taking into account the passenger traffic growth rates, the projected value for 2013 is 71-73 million passengers. The distribution of passenger traffic between the airports remained almost the same in the first half of 2013 as compared to the first six months of 2012», - said in the institute’s report.

The number of takeoff and landing operations (TLO) was 313,6 thousand in the first half of 2013 (+6.1% (+18 thousand TLOs) as compared to the same period of last year). In addition, the number of TLOs performed in the Moscow Air Cluster airports in 2012 was 653,5 thousand (+6,6% (+  39,1 thousand TLOs) as compared to 2011). Taking into account the growth rates for TLOs, the estimated value for 2013 may reach 690-700 thousand ones. The distribution of TLOs between the airports remained almost the same in the first six months of 2013 as compared to the first half of 2012.

According to Aeroproject, in the first half of 2013 about 17 TLOs per hour were performed in Vnukovo, 29 TLOs per hour – in Domodedovo and 27 TLOs per hour – in Sheremetyevo. The average figure for MAC during this period was 72 TLOs per hour.

«The passenger traffic growth rate for MAC airports was 13,0% in the first half of 2013 (passenger traffic growth rate for MAC airports was 13.5%  during 12 months of 2012). The distribution of passenger traffic between the airports remained almost the same in the first half of 2013 as compared to the first six months of 2012: Vnukovo – 15,0% (+0,2%); Domodedovo – 43,3% (-0,4%); Sheremetyevo – 41,7% (+0,2%)», - Aeroproject noted.

In addition, the growth rates for TLOs during the first half of 2013 are comparable to 2012: 6,1% - during first six months of 2013 and 6,6% during 12 months of 2012. «The distribution of TLOs between the airports remained almost the same as compared to the same period of 2012: Vnukovo – 24,0% (-0,3%); Domodedovo – 39,0% (-0,5%); Sheremetyevo – 37,0% (+0,8%)», - the press-service added.
