Russian Technologies State Corporation is not going to renew the contract with the present CEO of Russian Helicopters Holding Company, Dmitry Petrov. Alexander Mikheev will likely be succeeding Petrov at this post. At present Mikheev is supervising the aviation sector at Rosoboronexport, Kommersant reports with reference to its own sources.
Several sources close to the market told Kommersant that CEO of Russian Helicopters, Dmitry Petrov, may be relieved of his post this autumn. According to the sources, «the decision is almost taken» and Dmitry Petrov will likely resign office after MAKS-2013 airshow held during a period from August 27th to September 1st 2013. One source said that the CEO’s 3-year contract expires in September and it won’t be renewed.
The sources also noted that the change of Holding’s CEO is connected with the shift in its strategy: the company is considering the possibility of attracting a strategic investor instead of carrying out IPO. «They need a man capable of overseeing the negotiations with the potential investor and coordinating his actions with Russian Technologies instead of striving for independence», — a source said.
Dmitry Petrov will likely continue working in one of the subsidiaries of Russian Technologies. He may be appointed Deputy Director General of Oboronprom Corporation and may continue supervising the helicopter industry.
