WINDROSE takes delivery of Airbus A330 aircraft

WINDROSE took delivery of its first Airbus A330, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the carrier’s CEO, Vladimir Kamenchuk, the jet will perform its first long-haul flight to Hong Kong on October 23rd 2013. Later it will also start performing flights to Ho Chi Minh.

The CEO noted that prior to October 23rd this jet will be performing charter flights to Antalya and Bodrum.

The company’s Fleet Expansion Advisor, Irina Zotova, said that the jet was leased from Awas for the period of six years; the monthly lease payment is $400 thousand. She noted that the jet previously operated by Malaysia Airlines was manufactured in 1999.

Vladimir Kamenchuk said that WINDROSE will take delivery of another Airbus A330 in February 2014.
