The first aircraft launching of BrahMos missile is scheduled for 2014

BrahMos Aerospace plans to launch the first BrahMos missile from Su-30MKI fighter in 2014, Buisness-TASS reports. It was stated by the Executive Director of BrahMos Aerospace, Alexander Maksichev.

"The development of air-launched BrahMos missile is underway. On one hand the Su-30MKI fighter is being modified for using the missile. The work is carried out in India. The adaptation of the missile for the jet is being completed. We hope to start the flight tests this year. Possibly we will use the prototype of the missile. The first real missile will be launched from the jet in 2014", - Alexander Maksichev said.
