Airbus: А321 intended for UTair Aviation performed its maiden flight

The installation of the interior and painting of the first Airbus А321 intended for UTair Aviation have been completed in Hamburg, press-service of Airbus reports.

«The painting took 5 days; about 100 kg of paint were used, - the press-service noted. – After the roll-out the jet was delivered to the special site for carrying out final tests: fuel tanks check, engine ground run, pressure-testing of the cabin and testing of communication system. All the tests have been successfully completed. The liner performed its maiden flight on July 3rd 2013».

UTair Aviation has signed a contract for delivery of 20 Airbus А321 aircraft in July 2012. The first jet should be delivered to the customer in late July. «The jet is powered by CFM engines and features single-class cabin layout seating 220 passengers», - Airbus noted.
