«These aircraft (YOM – 2009) feature a “full economy” cabin configuration seating 215 passengers. The jets arrived in Borispol airport (Kiev, Ukraine) on July 24th and 29th and received the following registration numbers: UR-PSK and UR-PSL. These jets will be performing UIA’s charter flights», - the airline explained.
Boeing 737-900 with a tail number UR-PSK performed its first revenue flight from Kiev to Larnaca on July 27th 2013. Another one (tail number UR-PSL) will perform its first revenue flight from Kiev to Antalya on August 13th 2013.
We remind you that Boeing 737-900 (tail number UR-PSI) joined the fleet of UIA on July 26th 2013. The jet was manufactured in Seattle in 2013. At present the carrier’s fleet comprises 36 aircraft: 5 Embraer-190s and 31 Boeing 737s (including 3 737-900s).
«Acquisition of three Boeing 737-900s jets under conditions of operational leasing is another step in the network of implementation of UIA’s fleet renewal and expansion program, – UIA’s press-secretary, Evgeniya Satskaya, noted. – Such a significant expansion of the company’s fleet in the middle of peak season will allows the carrier to increase the capacity by 609 – 619 seats (depending on the cabin layout of UR-PSI jet), provide high quality of service and grant the required flight frequencies. We plan to take delivery of one more Boeing 737-900 in 2013».
