S7 Airlines, one of the Russia’s leading carriers in terms of implementing the latest electronic technologies, became the first Russian airline to provide its flight information via Google Now, the carrier’s press-service reports.

"Now the passengers of S7 Airlines, which are using the Google Search app, may view the flight information via Google Now. In order to use this service a passenger must send a message (confirmation) to his gmail address via the carrier’s website after purchasing a ticket. Google Now will remind the passenger of the upcoming flight displaying the information about the flight and notify of any changes in the airline’s schedule", - the press-service explained.

The passenger will receive all the necessary information about the flight: itinerary of travel, time of departure and arrival, the flight’s status, etc. The flight information is updated automatically upon availability of internet connection. The service is also capable of calculating the estimated time of arrival in the airport and suggesting the best route to the departure airport taking into account the available traffic information.

Google Now is the customized search implemented through Google Search App for Android and iOS smartphone operating systems. By analyzing the user’s requests, location, preferences, schedule and information from calendar, Google Now generates a number of information cards containing useful information.
