Sukhoi Company insured test and demonstration flights of T-50, Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 for a sum of $1 billion

Sukhoi Company insured the flights of T-50 (PAK FA) and serial Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft for a sums varying from $110 million to $1 billion, Business-TASS reports with reference to SOGAZ and Alpha Strakhovanie – the insurance companies, which took part in the deal.

«According to the contract Sukhoi Company now has insurance against risks related to the test flights of T-50 prototypes, test flights and acceptance flights of serial Su-30 / Su-34 / Su-35 jets as well as demonstration flights of the aircraft at airshows», - the insurance companies explained.

The maximum insurance payment in accordance with hull insurance is $110 million, the limit of indemnity in accordance with legal liability coverage - $1 billion for each loss event. The insurance coverage is provided by the companies on a parity basis (50/50). Thecontract expires on June 30th 2014.
