Gazpromneft-Aero, the aviation-fuel business operator of Gazprom Neft, intends to invest over $55,2 mln (1.8 billion rubles) in upgrading the refueling infrastructure of the airfields of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in 2013, the company’s press-service reports.
Gazpromneft-Aero built seven new laboratories intended for controlling the fuel quality at the airfields of MoD in 2013. The company also purchased 21 new fuel trucks, which will be operated in Pskov, Ryazan, Tambov, Lipetsk, Taganrog, Yekaterinburg, Orenburg and Akhtubinsk.
Gazpromneft-Aero will continue the construction of new refueling facilities, which meet the requirements of international standards, at the airfields of Russian air forces, said in the statement.
«The major upgrade of the airfields’ refueling infrastructure and quality assurance for the supplied products allow us to expand the partnership with the Russian air forces and implement the best international practices at the airfields of MoD, - CEO ofGazpromneft-Aero, Vladimir Egorov, said. – Our company supplied 350 thousand tons of aviation fuel to the airfields of Russian air forces in 2012 and we plan to increase the scope of deliveries this year».
