On 1 July 2013 Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Emirates celebrate significant date – first anniversary of official cooperation. In ten years over 2,2 million passengers were carried out by Emirates flights through Domodedovo Airport. The partners have demonstrated the impressive growth and are top-rated in the leading world surveys – in Skytrax Rating 2013 Emirates took the first place, and Domodedovo was awarded as the best airport of Eastern Europe.
Emirates – is one of the most dynamically developing airlines in the world: it launched flights from Dubai in 1985, and as of 2013 the airline fleet consists of over 200 aircrafts; the company is world largest customer and operator of ultramodern airliners Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, its route network covers 134 cities in 77 countries all over the world. Today over 1000 airliners of Emirates depart weekly from Dubai to 6 continents.
Every day the airline performs two flights to Moscow, connecting Domodedovo Airport and Dubai Airport – one of the world largest aviation hubs.
Regular flights of the largest passenger airliner Airbus A380 were launched by Emirates in December, 2012. Moscow-Dubai is the only Russian route, on which this superliner is being operated on the daily basis – for now only Domodedovo is technically equipped for its regular service. Airbus A380 is very popular – after its launch on the route the Emirates passenger traffic through Domodedovo Airport increased on 20%.
The high popularity distinguishes the route – today Emirates airliners perform flights Dubai-Moscow-Dubai with an average load factor of 80%, which is a very high rate for regular flights.
In Domodedovo the passengers of Emirates can use traditional for the airline wide range of services – for example, the individual transfer to home or office is available for premium class passengers.
