Irkut Corporation plans to sign contracts for delivery of 40 medium-haul MS-21 aircraft at MAKS-2013 airshow, press-service of Aviasalon reports.
The first deal will be made with a Russian leasing company. This refers to a firm contract for delivery of 30 aircraft, President of Irkut Corporation, Oleg Demchenko, explained. "We will sign a firm contract for delivery of 30 jets to a Russian leasing company at MAKS", - he said at Paris Air Show.
The second contract for delivery of 10 jets will be signed with IrAero. "We will sign the contract this year, possibly at MAKS airshow", - Demchenko said.
It was reported earlier that Irkut Corporation and VEB-Leasing have signed a tentative agreement at Farnborough 2010 airshow for delivery of 15 MS-21 aircraft with an option for 15 more jets.
Demchenko also said that Irkut Corporation intends to demonstrate the mock-ups of MS-21’s cabin and cockpit as well as the latest Cockpit Procedure Trainer (CPT) at MAKS-2013.
