The negotiations on potential deliveries of Yak-130 operational trainers to a number of countries, including Bangladesh, are in progress, Business-TASS reports. It was stated by the Director of Irkut Corporation Engineering Center, Konstantin Popovich.
"We are conducting negotiations on deliveries of Yak-130 jets in the network of Paris Air Show; many countries are interested", - he said. According to him, countries of Latin America, South-East Asia and CIS Region are showing interest. "Arguably we may sign a contract for delivery of Yak-130 operational trainers to Bangladesh at MAKS-2013 airshow", - the representative of Irkut Corporation noted. Konstantin Popovich added that the corporation is just outlining possible contracts at Paris Air Show.
Moreover, at present Irkut is implementing a contract for delivery of Yak-130 jets to the air forces of Belarus. Konstantin Popovich did not specify the exact number of the jets to be delivered. However, he said that the number of jets, prices and delivery schedule have already been defined. "These deliveries are part of Irkutsk Aviation Plant’s program and we have already started the implementation of this contract", - he noted.
