The prestigious British agency Skytrax (specializes on analyzing the quality of service of airlines and airports all over the world) held the World Airline Awards ceremony at Paris Air Show on June 18th 2013. Transaero won the award in the “Most Improved Airline” category. It is the first Russian airline to win the award in this category, the carrier’s press-service reports.
 
The Skytrax World Airline Awards and World Airport Awards are among the world’s most prestigious awards in the area of civil aviation. The award winners are chosen in accordance with the results of passengers satisfaction survey. Travellers from 160 countries of the world have taken part in the survey. The survey measured passenger satisfaction across more than 40 key performance indicators of the product offered by the airlines. The survey covered over 200 carriers, including the world’s largest airlines. Such objectivity and transparency of the World Airline Awards increase its importance. It should be noted that Transaero won the Skytrax award in 2013 for the second year in a row. Transaero was the winner of World Airline Awards 2012 in the “Best Airline in Eastern Europe” category.
