Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee issued the first export certificate for delivery of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to Europe

Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee issued the first export certificate for delivery of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft (MSN 95023) to Europe on June 10th 2013, press-service of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) reports.

Export certificate was issued under authority of EASA’s official letter received by SCAC, said in the statement.

We remind you that EASA issued type certificate for Sukhoi Superjet 100 in February 2012. “The certificate confirmed that the SSJ100 aircraft complies with the requirements of EASA airworthiness and environmental standards. The certificate allows the airlines to operate SSJ100 aircraft in Europe and countries using EASA regulations”, - SCAC noted.

“European, Russian and Mexican aviation authorities performed a large amount of post-certification work in order to deal with all technical and operational issues related to the deliveries of first SSJ100s to Europe, their customization by SuperJet International and further delivery to Interjet (Mexico)”, - the company explained.

As a result, the first export certificate for delivery of SSJ 100 aircraft to Europe was issued by IAC AR.

“The joint effort by SCAC and “SuperJet International” in the area of certification and the jet’s preparation for entry into service resulted in high quality of the aircraft, manufactured in close international cooperation, complying with highest international standards”,  – First Vice-president for design and quality, Igor Vinogradov, SCAC, said.

According to the press-service of SCAC, “the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 manufactured in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and customized in Venice will be delivered to Interjet soon”.
